Taking The MRT

Hi, My name is Tricia Chang and I took the train home today.

You must be wondering what happened to Daddy The Chauffeur?
Well, Daddy gotta attend his once a year annual Dinner & Dance function today.
Thus, he can't fetch us home and Mummy decided the brave the oceans and the waves..
Oops! I mean brave the human crowd and take the train home for an experience of my lifetime..

The journey began:
We left PoPo's home at 8.30pm and made our way to the train station lugging me in a Baby Carrier.
Mummy's quite paranoid about the reliability of the carrier and was knap-sacking me in front and holding my butt at the same time.
You won't believe that at this time, the train was still pretty crowded!
The usual stuff happened..
The commuters on board pretended to fall asleep or acted ignorant, being oblivious of 'ME' and my very existence..
Well, I guess that was just the 'normal behaviour'.
Mummy encountered these situations during her pregnancy so many a times she lost count..

Eventually she did get a seat when someone had to drop off for her stop.
It was a wondrous sight for me.
I mean there were big people, lights, posters..
Wow! I couldn't stop staring at them and was exploring the entire fleet of big people.

We changed to another train at Jurong East and finally I signaled to Mummy that I was feeling a little discomfy.
I didn't know where to put my tiny little feet.. and I was kicking the big person sitting next to Mummy..
Mummy managed to distract me a little before we reached our stop shortly..
We took a short walk and were home by 9.30pm.
We called PoPo to let her know that we had reached home safely..
She was kinda of worried.. kekeke ;-)

Played a little..
Drank my last feed for the night..
Fell asleep.. *zzZZzzzzzZzZzZ*

Come home soon Daddy. I missed you.

At Jurong East Interchange

Victory! We made it home!

A Promise

Mummy:

I think if you were one who've just became a parent or already is one, you will be hit by this video and be bawled over with snort and tears..

Especially for all the Dads out there..

I was innocently browsing thru a fellow blogger's entries and saw this touching video.

It was exactly as what he described and I share his exact sentiments.

Hot tears came streaming now as I watched the video.

Note: I'm already quite sentimental and teary usually. Makes me wonder if Tricia would inherit this gene of mine.

Watching this clip sort of made me reflect and think how my life had changed since the day she was borned.

I guess this is as real as reality gets.

Enjoy...

Answer: Shaking that butt of mine!!

I'll propped my butt up then bring my arms together and go into this crawl-like position and would go into a butt-shaking frenzy.. kekeke..
Mummy would hide herself and try to video the whole process.
Alas, each time she brings out the digital-cam my face would brighten up and look at her in a bewildered look otherwise would smile as if getting ready to take a picture!
No videos at the moment but until then enjoy these:

Propping up my butt, arms folded.. Getting ready..

Ah-ha!! I caught u! Mummy, try harder next time!

I Wanna Walk

I'll be turning 6 months old in 4 days time!
Wow! Time really flies..
Chinese New Year is coming then it'll be February, March, April and before I know I'll be ONE!!

Yesterday, PoPo fed me bud-smashing tasty puree.. which were:
Mashed boiled potato and porridge!!
Guess what?
I finished them all!!
Mummy says I'm a good girl and have improved on taking semi-solid food..
Well, you would have to cook something nice to allure me into eating.. Bah!
Today she fed me pumpkin puree again but this time round with a thicker consistency..
Took quite a few mouthfuls but I was sleepy so didn't finish the whole portion. So wasteful!

These days, it's pretty noisy at home cos there are tons of drilling due to the interim-lift-upgrading.
I tell you, Mummy's going nuts over the commotion caused by the drilling.
Worse of all, she has to cover night shift work for this week and hadn't had any sleep yesterday at all!
Drilling starts as early as 8am which is crazy I tell you..
But I'm a little piggy and I can sleep if I want.. Muahahaha!!
She absolutely hate the sound of drilling and I don't think it's gonna stop any time soon.
Nothing much I can help here. Blow you more kisses to comfort you okies?

Look at me. I wanna do so much things these days.
I push my butt up high and force myself up.
I actually manoeuvre like a caterpillar or an earthworm if I dare say.
I think I'm gonna learn to crawl pretty much soon.. but before that I wanna learn how to walk!
Walking's fun! Daddy and Mummy is still considering whether or not to get me a baby-walker cos there have been so much debate over the use of a baby-walker.
Mummy's putting deep consideration into it cos once we get one, we will have to clear away alot of stuff like the coffee table, etc etc to make space for me!
We'll see how things go then!

Separation Anxiety

Remember from the last post I mentioned something on separation anxiety?
Seems that it's becoming an on-going thing for me..
I don't know if you can call that a milestone or what?
But from the smiley undaunting baby who used to smile and giggle at any stranger that goos and ga over me.. I become rather fearful of them.. *shy*

Not only that, especially when I don't see Mummy around me.. Anxiety strike!!
Wa!!! I cry tearfully for her to reappear again..
*Mummy, where are you?? Why you leave me alone here? Cries..*
Oh no.. don't you dare call me a crybaby.. but then again I'm a baby who cries!
Uh, I'm a girl and I have tear ducts so I'm allowed to cry whenever I want and that's that.. Hmph!

Bad Mummy taking picture of me crying..

Yay, u r back!! Mummy, where you go?? Leave me all alone here.. ; (
